Laser in Dentistry

Laser dentistry offers several advantages in oral care. It provides a precise and minimally invasive approach, reducing discomfort and promoting faster healing. Laser therapy is effective in treating oral ulcers, cold sores, and gum infections, including periodontal disease. In addition, lasers facilitate the removal of decay and preparation of enamel for fillings, as well as shaping gums and cleaning bacteria during root canals. The versatility of lasers in dentistry enhances treatment outcomes and patient comfort.

Teeth Whitening

Your smile can lose its brightness over time due to various lifestyle factors, dental health, and aging. Factors such as smoking, consuming beverages like tea, coffee, and red wine, as well as poor dental hygiene, can contribute to the dullness and discoloration of teeth. However, even those who do not engage in these activities can still experience a loss of tooth brightness as they age. If you have good dental health but are unhappy with the color of your teeth, professional teeth whitening can be an excellent solution to restore your confidence and achieve a brighter, more vibrant smile.

3

Inlays and Onlays

Ceramic inlays and onlays are a great option for patients who require treatment for significant decay in their teeth but don't need a full dental crown. These treatments aim to preserve as much of the natural tooth structure as possible and are sometimes referred to as "partial crowns". Inlays and onlays are custom-made by a dental laboratory to fit precisely into the decayed area of the tooth. This dental treatment is necessary when a patient's tooth decay is too extensive for a standard filling but not severe enough to warrant a complete dental implant or crown.

4

Oral Hygiene

Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential for ensuring the longevity and health of your teeth and gums. By brushing and flossing properly, you can avoid numerous dental issues and maintain a clean, sparkling smile. Dental hygiene services include: Assessment of oral health and hygiene practices Examination of gums and teeth Removal of calculus (plaque) and superficial stains A professional clean and polish Oral health education & instruction to help you achieve/maintain a healthy and happy smile.

Periodontal treatment

Periodontal disease, commonly known as gum disease, is an infection that affects the tissues surrounding the teeth. The disease is caused by a buildup of bacteria called plaque, which constantly forms on the teeth. Failure to remove plaque through regular brushing and flossing can lead to gingivitis, which is inflammation of the gums. If left untreated, gingivitis can progress to periodontitis, which can cause the bone supporting the teeth to deteriorate, resulting in loose or missing teeth. To treat periodontal disease, a thorough professional cleaning is necessary. Specialized tools are used to clean the pockets around the teeth and gums to prevent further damage to the bone. Additionally, topical or oral antiseptics may be prescribed to eliminate the infection. In severe cases, a gingivectomy, which involves the removal of diseased gum tissue, may be necessary.

Tooth colored fillings

Tooth-colored fillings, also known as composite resin fillings, are a type of dental filling that is designed to blend in with the natural color of your teeth. Unlike traditional metal fillings, tooth-colored fillings bond directly to the tooth, providing a strong, durable, and long-lasting solution.

7

Invisalign

Invisalign® is a treatment that offers near invisibility while straightening teeth using an innovative approach. Custom-made removable aligners are used to gently and effectively move teeth to their desired position in a predictable manner. The Invisalign® system involves a series of these aligners, which are virtually invisible, allowing for a discreet orthodontic treatment option.

8

Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal Treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, is a dental procedure aimed at saving a tooth that has been significantly damaged due to injury, disease, or decay. This treatment involves cleaning and shaping each canal within the tooth, applying antibacterial medication, and then filling the root canals while sealing the pulp chamber. It is common for a root canal treated tooth to require a crown for protection.

9

Tooth Extraction

At our practice, we prioritize preserving your natural teeth and aim to avoid extractions whenever possible. We believe that retaining your natural teeth is usually the better option. However, there are situations where a tooth may require extraction, such as when it has been extensively damaged due to trauma or decay. In cases where severe gum disease has led to damage of the surrounding bone, extraction may also be necessary. Additionally, in situations where a tooth serves no function or removal would improve the bite and chewing ability, extraction may be recommended. Despite these reasons, we will always explore all options and strive to save your natural teeth whenever possible.

10

Porcelain/Composite Veneers

Our veneers are designed to enhance the natural beauty of your smile with their exceptional optical brilliance and lifelike appearance. These veneers provide a non-invasive solution to transform your smile without compromising the structural integrity and durability of your teeth. With our veneers, you can achieve a stunning, natural-looking smile makeover.

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns are dental restorations that are placed over a damaged tooth to provide reinforcement and strength to the underlying natural tissue. This dental treatment restores the functionality of the tooth by enabling it to withstand bite pressure and function like a natural tooth. On the other hand, a dental bridge is a restorative device that replaces one or more missing teeth. The bridge consists of two crowns that are attached to the teeth on either side of the gap, and a crown that fills the space of the missing tooth. This creates a seamless "bridge" that spans the gap between the teeth, restoring the appearance and functionality of the teeth.

Dental Implants

A Dental Implant is a prosthetic tooth that is surgically implanted into the jawbone, designed to serve as a long-term replacement for missing teeth. These implants are made to be nearly as strong and functional as natural teeth. Replacing a missing tooth with an implant can provide numerous benefits both aesthetically and functionally. Patients can regain confidence in eating their favorite foods, smiling, and laughing without hesitation. Implants also help prevent long-term complications and issues with surrounding teeth. Unlike dentures, implants are not removable and do not require cutting of natural teeth, which is necessary for bridgework. As a result, dental implants are increasingly becoming a popular choice for replacing missing teeth.
